Remembering Brian Hill (1973 - 2022)

Brian Hill was a creative soul, a voracious reader, a passionate writer, and fiercely loyal friend. Brian inspired his dear friends and family in their time of struggle with his offbeat sense of humor, and his authentic wisdom often using his favorite phrase: “Make it do.” Meaning “This is life. You need to deal with all the good stuff and all the bad stuff. And accomplish what you need to. Make it DO.”

THE “MAKE IT DO” SCHOLARSHIP

The "Make It Do" scholarship is managed through Appel Farm Arts in Elmer, NJ, an esteemed institution founded in 1960 with a commitment to radical inclusivity, gender affirmation, anti-racism, and supporting LGBTQIA+ youth. Appel Farm Arts provides a transformative sleepover camp experience where young artists explore everything from theatre and music to writing and visual arts. As a tribute to Brian's passion for all things creative, we aim to empower LGBTQIA+ youth through this scholarship.

Two deserving young artists will experience a two-week program at Appel Farm Arts. Each scholarship is $2500, and your generous donations will make dreams come true for these hopeful youths.
